Each year that I've been reporting the news, I always look forward to the holiday season, and the chance to make a difference for local families who benefit from charitable groups like the Salvation Army.
This past holiday season, when I was living in Huntsville, AL, I did several news stories on the shortage of donations facing the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. With just a day to go until the deadline, hundreds of angels, each representing a child in need, still needed to be 'adopted.'
I was so taken by the need, that after the camera shut off, I adopted an angel and happily bought the toys on the little girl's wishlist. This year, I'm so pleased to be helping out the Salvation Army once again. Please help me reach my donation goal of $2012 and give what you can! Together, we can all make the holidays brighter for those in need.
Many thanks, and I hope you have a blessed holiday season!
