Every day Salvation Army officers, staff, and volunteers work with families struggling to put food on the table, pay the rent, and keep their home warm. A lost job, part time employment, fixed income for seniors, and medical bills become huge burdens and can tip a family into homelessness.
Without help from The Salvation Army these families can not celebrate the holidays, and the resulting sadness of an empty table on Thanksgiving and the absence of gifts for Christmas is a crushing blow.
