It is no secret that Allegheny County has suffered some serious economic setbacks. The demands on The Salvation Army are daunting. Unemployment, corporate restructuring and government funding cuts have all contributed to some serious challenges to both our donors and our constituents. We need to do far more with even less. Hundreds of families in need are seeking help for the first time in their lives. And, many of those who are now our clients were once our contributors.
